Because it had lived in my basement for two years, then was repaired and brought to my dorm room, where it lived on my roommate's unused bed until move-out, at which point there was really no space in the car.

I had speakers and my iPod with a special piratey playlist playing all the time too. Flogging Molly, Captain Dan's Authentic Pirate Hip Hop, some PotC soundtrack, 1812 Overture, the Lazy Town pirate song, etc.

It's the one night of the year where cosplay is socially accepted nationwide, kids go around getting free candy, and everyone else has an excuse to party. I also enjoy the irony of a "Christian" nation enjoying an event so rooted in paganism.
