Parents thread

Somehow all fathers turn out to be dicks and all mothers are awesome.

And to add on to that, I never knew my dad because he left my mom once he found out she was pregnant (according to my mom), so my mom's raised me all by herself ever since my birth. She never let me do chores because she wanted to make sure I was not too busy to do my homework and she always trusted that I knew what I was doing so she never decided on things for me, school-, career- and love life-wise (note: I'm still a virgin and proud of it ).

Now I'm in college and on my own, but I still make sure to call her every week to let her know I'm doing all right (because long-distance calls suck big-time, so I just use Skype ).

My brothers are both in jail and they both knew and were raised by both their dad and my mom, and according to my mom, their dad was an abusive jerk. Never met him, and I'm glad he wasn't my dad. I was raised by my mom alone, which pretty much showed a huge difference between me and my siblings.

My mom is awesome.
