Soldiers kill people trying to kill them. All are armed and considered armed combatants. It's faulty logic to equate someone who is a soldier for a living to a civilian. The soldier is not trained to "kill," but rather to accomplish his country's military objectives, but even so he accepts the possibility of killing or dying as a course of his job. Most civilians do not want to be in a position where they risk their lives.
I confess I find this thread seriously disturbing and repulsive. I was in a fraternity that hazed its pledges, and within the frat house, where anything went and the police would never find out, people did a lot of sadistic things. Some guy back in the 1970s committed suicide after initiation. I can sorta see why. It's "nice" to know that such people -- including many of you -- would kill someone for money and aren't at all ashamed of it.
