When I'm a teacher, I'm definitely enforcing the "Times New Roman, Black, 12 pt, double-spaced and MLA format" rule that I've always had to follow. That's just the way it should be for academic papers.
And just for font discussion sake, my favorite is Arial.
I wrote papers like that in middle school.
Now I'm in high school, and such colours and fonts are forbidden!
