Whether or not you hp washed (and how much) is kinda essential to the answer. If you haven't washed, you won't be at peak in your late 13x using berserk (though honestly, since 133, the level I was when 4th came out, peak is virtually the same exp with and without berserk). Himes and gobies are your best bets, WS for hunting. If you do newties (in berserk) you're going to be very annoyed... they only do 2k but the rate that you're getting hit at is very high (although himes isn't any better actually... early berserk is a pain). So, basically, himes and newties are the "high end" areas you'll be able to go to, with gobies being a semi-decent option. IF you've washed, you can train at peak/skeles (though skeles are basically limited to a party; if you solo, do so at peak).
For your 2nd question, lv10 stance is pretty good, though I wasn't really satisfied with it until 15+ where it becomes very reliable. It's still a great skill, even at lv10, but you'll probably find yourself wanting more points into it once you try it out.
