I own a cat and a dog. My cat thinks of my dog as its baby and randomly plays with it, even bathes it it's so cute xD. My cat does bring dead animals (moles specifically) not because it's hungry or anything but it's a way that it shows it's "appreciation".
Cat's are more to themselfs, if they want attention or anything they'll nag you, dogs just kind of beg and get bored after awhile. They are mans best friend because they are much more affectionate, at least my dog is. Not saying cat's arent though but my cat likes a good petting, and at night it might sleep on your chest.
I assure you a cat's 'leftovers' smell 10x worse than a dogs, and it lingers. and frankly cleaning a lil box is not so much fun either. At least dogs give something to nature I suppose xD. My mother hates one thing about my cat and thats if it catches birds, my dog doesn't do that
One thing everyone dislikes about my dog is it barks anytime we have someone unfamilar you over, nice lil alarm dog.
