Yeah, I remember when 3rd job was difficult to reach and when that was considered a big achievement, and I certainly don't want to go back to grinding at 8%/hr at zombies in 7x, but this just seems sloppy. Everything becoming easier isn't always a good thing. Over time, more people are going to make it to the same level of play for less effort, but it's more acceptable when that comes about as a result of a better understanding of the game along with new content to fill previous voids rather than artificially throwing us more damage or more exp.
Yeah, eventually we're probably going to reach a point where a casual player can hit 4th job within a year and your average grinder will be able to make it to 16x or higher. But this is a stupid way to achieve it.
It doesn't affect anything overall. A leecher has no skills, a casual player isn't going to take your place in a boss run. If you work hard, you buddy list and guild know it and they're the ones who you count on to do anything worthwhile with once you're a high level so a bunch of randoms getting up there isn't going to affect anything except silly unimportant rankings.
Besides, more high levels = more need for high level content = happy happy happy.
