The Psycho Jacks drop Springs too. But yeah, Prose said they wanted to keep ETC items to a minimum because so many people find them annoying. That's why NLC monsters drop higher amounts of mesos than their usual counterparts, to make up for the fact that they don't have common ETCs. Even when you take this into account, on 1x drop an NLC monster would be more profitable to kill because you're more likely to get Mesos from a Wolf Spider than Mesos and an ETC from an equivalent monster elsewhere.

I'm hoping these quests arn't just "Go kill xx of this monster" and "gather xx of this item!" Some of the Ariant quests were diffrent and fun, I just hope CwK can break away from the norm.

Edit: Er, I said this beacuse the ETC item thing made me think about gathering them for quests. ^_^;;
