Chat hack morning-after pill?

I'm majoring in IT, personally. This also intrigues me as to how a person can obtain another person's IP address through a game-client, you'd have to go to the servers, and then retrieve info, yes, as some has stated.

One might imagine an implementation in which, to reduce load on the servers, chat is done client-to-client. That is, after a chat request is made and accepted, the server just gives one (or both) of them the IP address of the other, and says, "Talk amongst yourselves".

I have no idea whether MapleStory "chat" is done that way.

These hackers aren't even actual hackers, they're just little Script Kiddies that steals pre-made scripts. Real ones would penetrate through by 'force'.

So? All it takes is one real hacker to develop the script and post it where the hordes of script-kiddies can download it.
