Actually, for us ranged guys, direct touch usually results in PAINFUL DEATH.
My tactic, however, is using DS if cornered, get out of his range, and flash jump out of the way. Get to a safe position, repeat.
Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Even if my tactic isn't that weird :p
About PB itself... Doesn't barrage make stuff face the same way for longer? If there's a pirate or two that can take to survive on the corner, it'll be quite easier to make it face right all the time. However, stop chaining barrages/demolitions, and the ranged party will be in danger... However, maybe sticking a shadower on each of those to grant survival... Only using it when PB gets unpinned.
