[COLOR="Indigo"]Support for Windows XP will gradually taper off, if you're looking to Microsoft for help. XP will still be used by many people for quite a while though. Considering how long it's been out, it's a very stable operating system, and stability is very important for businesses, schools, etc. Once more of the bugs in Vista are taken care of, more people will be willing to upgrade.

And as for everything switching to Vista, this Wiki article is already talking about the NEXT version of Windows. Only time will tell if Vista really gets to stick around or not.
