It's AWESOME that they made such a story oriented tutorial for the Aran. The entire first scene is looks like it's supposed to be a flashback of your Aran's memories, indicated by the black blurry border around the screen and the intentional grainy filter you see to make it appear like an old photo/movie. Them being at max level at the start of your gameplay is most likely to give you a chance to get used to their combo oriented play style early on.

Really makes me wish that they'd revise Adventurers tutorial for more story...
