For the cost of doing that, he could probably upgrade his DT by a much greater amount, and still have some money to do a scroll or 2 for attack on a clean pan lid or maple shield (go farm bubblings). Of all things, gloves are one of the most expensive (with costs rising almost exponentially per point of attack). An 8 attack glove is a very solid attack glove, and will be useful for quite a while. Main priority here is the weapon, which can be upgraded cheaply (35-40m can easily net you a good DT) and getting enough str to wear a Khanjar. If you can find a way to get an HT pendant and egg, do that, the damage loss over a Naricain will be made up by the high stats of a scrolled HT and the att from a khanjar.
