I'm currently doing a small survey on web-browsers and animations in them, and it would be great if you guys could help me a little out~ If you got the time to answer, I'd be glad and thankful, srs.
Below is the list of questions. May look as much, but really, it's not (I think..)
What kind of browser do you use? Firefox
Have you tried other browsers? Yes
If yes:
Which browsers have you tried apart from your main browser? IE and Chrome
Why did you choose to not use any other web-browser? Lack of plugins, IE is known for security holes, I hate Chrome's UI.
If no:
What would it take to make you try out other web-browsers?

Do you often tend to bump into animations with your browser? Yes, people often have them as forum avatars/sigs
Do you see animations without any problems with your browser? Yes
If you're unable to see an animation with your browser, and HAS to see the animation, would you...
Download a program/image-reader which manages to read it? Yes
Download or use another web-browser in order to watch the animation? Only if I already had the necessary browser or I was considering switching anyway.
Go to a website which, through JavaScript or through converting the animation, animates the animation for you? Yes, if it wasn't frequent
Go to a website which decompile the animation's frames and then view them for you? no
If none of the above applies to you, please state what you would do in order to view the animation.
Do you consider GIF-files to be sufficient for small animations at webpages? Most of the time, but only 256 colors and no transparency :-\
Are you bothered by the GIF-file's non-transparency while browsing the Internet or while making an animation? I don't make animations and the "background color" of animated gif's is usually good enough.
Anything else you want to comment? Having a better animated image standard would be a Good Thing
