last night i was watching "the universe" program on the discovery channel, and i learnd alot.
it reminds me how much you can learn off of that, seriously.
back on topic.
There were alot of coincidence's on how earth came to exisist. Did you know there was another planet near earth, and they collided, and nearly doubled the size of earth? It was really cool to see the facts presented. Our planet survived because of valcanos heating our planet, not by magma, but by carbon dioxide. Venus has to much, Fail. Mars has to little, Fail. Earth, juuust right.
Comets hit the earth and gave us water. Under water valcano caverns started to create land. Than one cellular organisms (Life) started to pop-up in the ocean, likly sucking nutrients from the sea floor. THey eventually evolved and a billion years later after many changes, you have more and more complex cellular organisims, it came to a very small fish.
Then they talked about how the human race is affecting our planets climate, and that we are not making a huge contribution. Greenland, which IS a huge slug of ice, is-shrinking. The ice sheet is receiting, making it thinner. This is a process that happens like a cycle in earths history over millions of years. Did you know that the north and south poles used to be jungles?
