I beg to differ with your opinion; My ID and my CL only have about a 3k difference average in their damages and ID does the same damage to all six mobs it's hits, unlike CL's progressive halving.
Each has it's own distinct value and situations where one will outshine the other.

Straight line attack vs a "follow the target" attack make CL better for ranged attacks against a single moving target like bosses (pap, zak arms, cwkpq) and it's ability to extend it's own range by arcing makes it's a little more useful against swarms that fly (opachu for example) or at least at drawing their attention. ID won't work on Opachu and similar because they're boss flagged :/
