In addition to what the others said, keep in mind that for Paladins the range of Blast and ACB on 1h weapons is SMALLER than on 2h weapons. If you get a godly shield and a godly 1h hammer you have to move closer to the enemies to strike them, than you would with the Morningstar. Heroes don't have to do this because 1h and 2h ranges on Brandish are identical.
