I usally use auto mp for bishop, auto mp/hp for NL, and magnet, pouch, wing boots, and binoculars for both. If I'm going to be training in a party a lot where someone won't be picking up their loot I will buy scales as well.
However if this will be for apq only I would recomend the item pouch with wing boots & binoculars. It doesn't really matter if you pick up the mesos or not because you only get like 10 for each coin. If you want to loot the reject items of other people (earings, grape juice, apq basket, maybe a chew or a cape) then get the scales as well.
I don't buy my loots specificly for apq but once I went on a party where only one other person had a pet and I had scales and I got 3.5 rows of earrings. o.o (And that was not during the V-Day increase eiher.) I usually get about 3-4 extra items per pq because of the scales, so if you were doing apq all the time it might be worth it.
I guess I should note that scales won't make you an "apple looter" or anything. Scales won't loot unless your party ignores their drops for awhile (3-5 seconds or so) enough time for your party member to break 2 more boxes and move on. Your pet will run to their drops, but it won't pick up until the alloted time has passed.
