I myself am a Muslim, and there's this really great line in the Qu'ran that I apply to these types of situations. It's what I live by in this time of racism and hatred and what not. The line, translated, says:

"You have your beliefs, and I have mine."

I won't call your beliefs stupid or try to convert you or anything, and niether should you to me.
