You could always drink it on the Zakum Altar, 1% loss > 5% loss

Better yet, wait for Valentine's event or Easter event and drink it. XD
But yeah, it should work at 1% loss to drink it in the town, and we don't know if the map that the NPC that gives you that potion is on is a town map or not yet.
