No Religion can prove itself.
All Religion is based off belief.
That's why they ask, What do you believe?
People shouldn't ask people to prove their side, when they themselves can't even prove theirs.

as for above-
The violence in the Bible is mainly done to the Christians being killed by the sinners.
There was a period in time when Satan decided he wanted to kill the believers, to see if they would deny their own God, if it meant death.
Those who didn't deny the fact that they were Christians were murdered for being Christians.
This is basically a moral of the story telling you, don't deny your God, because even if you die a Christian you will still have eternal life in heaven, so it doesn't even matter.
Christians were murdered back in those days, and the Bible is full of Christians, Apostles, and stuff, so of course there will be death.
There were also sick people, that Jesus healed. This was just to demonstrate his miracles.
So yes, Jesus does want people to know about this stuff.
He does want kids to know that all His skin was ripped off, and he was beat and whipped, and you could see part of his bones when he was being crucified. So they realize the price He paid for them.
Is that enough knowledge and crap, cause I really don't feel like pulling out verses and crap.
