It took me 5 minutes to even land a single hit, changing up my attack every time. Sure, they're easy to cheese if you can get them off stage, but when they get knocked into the air, they're most likely to spam air dodges. If you fight them on the ground, they have insane shield speeds, roll dodge every grab, they shield grab every close ranged attack, and reflect or dodge any kind of projectiles you use.
This is actually the first game where I've lost so many games to a CPU. It's almost demoralizing and would be if it weren't for the fact that it's so ridiculous. I also seem to notice a significant difference between the NA version and the JP version of the CPUs' AI. The Japanese one seems indefinitely smarter and quicker on the draw. I don't know if it's 100% true, but I played 10 matches against a level 9 CPU on my NA copy of the game and destroyed them all without losing more than a single stock in a five-stock game. I switched back to the Japanese copy of the game and I start getting my ass kicked up and down the block, barely winning with 1 stock left and sometimes even losing.
They're the same game. >_> There is no difference between either one other than the language displayed. But yeah, computers do cheat, and honestly I feel as though that's okay. Sometimes you need inhuman response times and reactions to help you better play against actual humans. I do just fine against computers, I can beat them just fine without losing a stock in most matches, unless I make stupid mistakes. They really teach you to make every move count, instead of just randomly swinging all over the place.
