Was watching NASA's live coverage of Orbital Science's Antares rocket launch as it exploded. Freaked me out a lot more than it should have, partially because I can easily see myself working on missions similar to this at some point in my career.
Thank god it was unmanned.
Unreal though. I could tell something wasn't right very shortly after ignition. Then the explosion after it cleared the water tower.. eurgh. Watching the spacecraft slowly fall back into the ground was probably the worst for me. Disheartening? Devastating? Depressing? Horrifying? I don't know how to describe what I was feeling.
Don't know why it's affecting me so much.
