A Divine who resides in a holy sword to be drawn by the one the legends proclaim to be a monk. After a certain event, she continued to wait for one who would become a monk to appear, having a fateful encounter with Slay. She sees hope in him and is bound by a marriage contract. Using the vessels of Divine Slay has the ability to defeat Demons. She is a fire elemental divine. They meet during a festival of sorts. She gives precise advice like an instructor, as an older woman. She sometimes runs wild with her delusions though.
In regards to the talents of a monk, they are able to contract with multiple Divine. Contracts with 4 Divine, one of each element, is ideal, but in all of history, this feat has almost never been accomplished.
Battle Style:
Humans:
Humans excel at physical attacks, with an emphasis on movement and mobility.
O Button activates speed and mobility style attacks (特技, tokugi).
X Button activates powerful penetrating artes (奥義, ougi) (penetrating as in busting through, breaking past, etc)
Particularly useful in distracting enemies while other characters are using Divine Echo Artes (i.e. chanting spells)
Divine:
O Button activates midrange style attacks (特技, tokugi).
X Button activates powerful and long range Divine Echo Artes (天響術, tenkyoujutsu).
Take cover in a safe position to reduce the risk of being interrupted while chanting Divine Echo Artes.
Mikurio:
Performs closequarter combat by loading Spiritual Power into his staff and using midrange attacks. His Divine Echo Artes are a shooting-style and area of effect-style attacks that perform well at counterattacking and pursuing. He is also capable of simple healing artes.

Lyla resides within a sword. Whether this is the ceremonial sword that Slay finds in the Mabinoginon Ruins (I think?) or a different Holy Sword, is unknown. The text references a holy sword (聖剣 compared to Slay's originally introduced ceremonial sword (儀礼剣. Since she doesn't meet them until a festival, it's likely the latter, though it is possible she resides within his ceremonial sword and just doesn't appear until later. The story told has a slight resemblance to King Arthur legends, with Lyla being the lady of the lake and the drawing of a holy sword to deem worth.
Once again, there is reference to marriage (輿入れの契約を結ぶ. Could be the specific term used for Divine contracting though.
Presumably, combat consists of Slay and Alicia using weapons that have Divine residing in them. The Divine would be able to materialize themselves, but the item would still possess their spiritual power, allowing them to combat. Otherwise, you would have to sacrifice a party member to battle, if they are required to exist within the item, since Lyla explicitly possesses inside a sword.
About Battle Style:
Seems to be a modification on Graces's style shift. Typically, O activated the basic attack, which would never be called 特技, which are the most fundamental and lowest level artes, in particular, for hand-to-hand users like Farah, Regal, etc. Probably since they didn't care for the approach Xillia took, where basic attacks had a bit of flash and speed to them but weren't considered too strong for utility compared to Graces.
Mikurio does sound to be an all-rounder like stated in an earlier post. Capable of close range attacks, with mid and long-range Divine Echo Artes. Minor healing, possibly similar to Zelos/Kratos, Regal, Raven, Hubert. A bit different in regards to Xillia 2, where every character had access to a healing skill, though Xillia 1 had fewer. None of his healing artes have been named. His style might actually be close to Pascal, as he has a staff, and his artes are described as shooting range.
Strangely enough, the artes given in kanji don't use on'yomi and use kun-yomi instead for pronunciation. Typically, any arte that's named in kanji will always use on'yomi. There are a couple of exceptions, though I can't really name them.
Edna seems to have a base ability similar to Elise, with a bit of projectile play on her weapon. She seems to have a trap-style or delayed explosion style attack. Things that come to mind are Raven, and several Xillia 2 artes, like Rowen's Embuse Marche, Muzet's Force Mine, etc. Another untypical thing about Edna is her kanji-artes have transliterated English readings. She also possesses several ice-element artes (Embrace End, Powder Snow) despite being Earth element, which indicates that either Ice is now Earth, or there is some other method of earning a combination-element arte if they keep the system from Xillia.
So far, no info on Lyla's style. If she's an offense-type, I'm dreading to see a male wind-using healer. pls stahp.
