Le board with only lack of rule "spam rule only rule not enforced"

Because it's a pain in the ass and a waste of time, quite frankly. Someone clicks "what's new?" and gets a pointless thread. Someone sees a bunch of new posts in Shenanigans and thinks there's some great thing going on when there isn't.

Waste of time? It's a forum, dude. That's the point of a forum. To discuss and waste time, or gather information. In the case of "shenanigans" where the only rule that isn't enforced is spam, the information aspect of the forum is null and void. The entire point of a subforum such as this IS for pointless threads.

It's also not anyone's problem except their own if they see discussion going on and it's not as great as they had hoped. Not every single thread in a forum is made to entertain or attract you. If you don't like how a discussion is going, ignore it. Stop trying to CONTROL what people talk about because you're not interested. I don't go and complain about the Homestuck thread because I despise it, do I? It's not "great" to my standards. It should be closed, according to you.

You know, people would probably stop hating on you guys if you would 1) stop baiting others, 2) post something of value, and 3) stop abusing the shenanigans forum.

Nobody was baiting anybody. Initially it was just discussion of cute guys, but it was quickly stopped because there apparently wasn't enough people discussing it in the 10 minutes it was up. Also, get over yourself. I'm not here to post things that YOU consider valuable. If you don't find it of value, ignore it and go find or make something that you enjoy.

Also, using the subforum for what it was created for is not abusing it. A spur of activity =! abuse.
