Funding can make dungeon clears way faster... I think my Zero's record is around 80 seconds in the 150-160 3rd area, but that's with Alpha's 3rd skill 1hkoing everything and Beta's 4th 1hkoing the boss.
You get a lot of exp for the final clear so it's basically a matter of going as fast as you can to get decent exp rates. I found it annoying too.
Why I ended up quitting at 160-ish is I'm easily distracted. The dungeon system means every 2 minutes you're finished, you can step away from Maple and do something else. When I'm grinding in Stronghold, I pick a map and stick to it for half an hour or an hour without breaks, no trouble. Which would be enough time to level up the Zero, but it's not grinding enough for me to actually do it.
