Buffs you can cast on yourself or other people, stuff like "Attack lv 1" which increases the attack of your lead pokemon by one stage during your next battle. there are others like prize money, healing, critical ratio ect.

Also, wonder trades are about as one-sided as you'd expect, like 3 out of 5 times I've gotten some pomegranate pokemon available in the first route like a Caterpie (3 or 4 damn times now) or Bidoof. I've offered a Riolu, a Carbink, a Wobuffett, a Wingull, a Vivillion... clearly i'm doing this wrong.
