How many here suffer from town lag/freeze?

Wait, you consider 40 seconds to load the game bad? What do you consider good? My newer computer (Gateway i7, with a solid state drive) takes over a minute to load the game. My old comp, probably 5 minutes; I don't have the patience to wait, I just start it up, walk away, and come back later. I thought the usual load time was a couple minutes. Maybe we need a poll for that too.

Anyway, on topic, on my old comp in a town I get a few frames per minute. If I get stuck in a town, I usually have to relog on the new comp to escape. My newer Win-7, 4-core has no troubles with town lag, but does disconnect or crash a lot. Memory useage does not seem to go up much in town on newer comp; was 472M in map west of Leafre, 526M middle of Leafre, 507M FM entrance chan 1 (but these values do not repeat well, if I revisit maps later, mem will be higher) CPU doesn't change much either; 5-7% west of Leafre, 6-8% center of Leafre.
If I recall, memory usage on my old comp is always much higher, anywhere, even at log-in screen.

Edit: Checked old comp; memory usage is much lower than I recalled, only 520M center Leafre, around the same as for new comp. The problem for me in towns is not memory but CPU- its pegged at 99%.
