To be honest, I'd expect a standard like the one in GMS. Well formatted and good layout to list almost every single thing without fail. It shows that the folks at GMS take their job seriously to provide the quality gameplay experience as well as keeping a high level of technical support. And sort of tells us that they know what they're looking at and not blatantly distributing and cause more disaster out of the game.
To be honest, all I see in SEA patch notes is just a bunch of thrown in rubbish, improperly formatted. Doesn't even look sincere, more like passing their job to just publish those notes. Only the cash event notices were decorated "beautifully" than the others.
I understand that you had no choice but to stick to SEA. But one of my reasons for going GMS is not only because of my disgust towards AS, it's more of experiencing another new community there and observe how they operate as compared to here. I am very sure it will be a fruitful experience and different perspective of the gameplay.
I expect that too, but well, let it be said that few game companies in SEA actually have high standards too. Much as I hate the idea of staying in SEA the reality is that I as a gamer have always made my gaming choices based on the game actually working out for me; in spite of the gifts given out by GMS I couldn't hope to rely solely on that to make my way up so I'd have just as bad of an experience at GMS as I would in SEA, if not worse.
As for the experience, I just look at how different Southperry's users are from the mainstream MapleSEA player.
