for dark knights, which have one of the 40% ignore skills:

40 % impale
30% codex
15% lumi
------
85%

i'd still need to sacrifice something to be able to reach 100% cap, 3-pirate set isn't feasible (i need my character bonuses, plus to-come cygnus resistance thinguies)
getting a 15% pdr neb would mean i can't get a better damage %boss neb

this doesn't account for the non-working ambition though, which would make it 95% from pretty much base. in which case i'd have to sorta agree with you. but when you compare the current system with KMS's...

what i don't get is why they turned PDR multiplicative, but boss damage wasn't? i mean that way they'd have balanced the two much better

Lets just put it this way, if they make no changes at all, we will be seeing mercedes run around with 100% PDR without crusader codex.
