So... um.. drinking in mi country IS part of our mainstream culture. However, it doesn't imply that is good and healthy. I live in Argentina, were wine is a very popular drink, and many studies support the fact that half a glass of red wine every night helps you with your blood circulation.
And as far as I'm concerned, injuries that can affect your body appear after chronic drinking.
And no, alcohol won't make you smarter, but (screw other ppl opinions) getting high is a different experience. Smoking pot once a year wouldn't kill me, and I tried. The emotions, feelings and stuff you get are kinda appreciated in a different way, making you imagine things are twisted.
There is proof that some famous and smart people smoked marihuana while they were studying (Sigmund Freud is an example) and they were brilliant.
So it's up to you choosing.
