Windows products need to be aged like cheese.
Also, Vista isn't a complete failure, no matter what the hivemind thinks.
It's not a complete failure, but it's by no means a success. The light speed development start of windows 7 is (somewhat) proof of that.
I can't help but think of how awesome ready boost would be if i had it though. xD

Thing is, I won't do stuff that's certainly not worth it. Time-wise.
Scenario: Your windows partition gets bogged down by spyware big time. You can't boot into it or what have you. You have a big deadline to make/work to save. The average person would call fail squad to fix it, but an ubuntu user can simply boot into it and access their windows partition through there. Grab all your work, and you're saved.
That's a rare case though, but it's still a nice convenience sometimes. I only use my XP partition nowadays to play games and update/sync my iphone. Amarok is complete sex in a media player.
Not really trying to force you or anything, just suggestions. xD I can't say that my time installing (and by installing i mean working out my wireless card driver issues) linux wasn't enjoyable in the end though. Feeling of a job well done. :3
