I don't think that should be possible but I suppose that's a matter of perspective.
The top tab in the crafting menu shows all the items that can be used in undiscovered recipes. When you click on one, it'll show you the possible matches for that item. Usually the recipes will be pretty obvious, like combining an +Power insignia with a glove strap with a glove piece to make a glove with +Power. You get a bunch of bonus crafting and regular exp whenever you find a new recipe.
