Elemental Staffs/Wands % not working?

Actually that might not be a good thing.

If elemental staffs and wands are now neutral element, then anyone can use them on any class even Bishops to gain a super-powerful staff or wand.

VIP equips already made that possible anyway.

Maybe. Just because the bonus isn't working doesn't mean the reduction is gone as well.

Until they fix it, again, and cause the whole whining spree to restart.

Bishops can use elewands with no reduction.

There's not much of a reason to use Ele Wands with the advent of VIP Staves, which are generally cheaper and have higher attack. Ele Staves are still top-tier, though.

Who gives a pomegranate if bishops use them now anyways, besides the fact that VIP is out there, we can't train any faster than anyone else so...

hopefully this is a fix it situation, if not... it makes the weapons somewhat useless now.

i'm kinda surprised to see some people jumping on getting them again for a bishop given thats theres no confirmation... i still see mages buying them thinking that the bonus is intact and paying a ton. i really wish they would respond to a ticket or post on the nexon thread. if the change is here to stay i'd rather use a VIP :x

I have to wonder, was this intentional? We all know the only reason these elemental wands existed in the first place was due to how terrible the old magic damage formula was. Now with the new formula... Is it still necessary to have these elemental staves/wands work as they once did?

Big Bang came out in JMS earlier than GMS, right? Any JMSers care to confirm whether or not the elemental bonus is still in JMS? If they don't work in JMS as well, then I guess we can safely say that Nexon no longer deems it necessary for them to work as they once did.

(I'm leaning towards this being intentional. I don't know how you can screw this up by accident from out of nowhere.)

They were added because bishops took massive dumps on AMs pre-BB.

i cant find it around here but i did read a thread for JMS big bang on southperry with a player saying that the weapons still worked as normal (?)

it would seem to be pretty big news if JMS nerfed them? also, two people i know are swearing that the 30% boss bonus isn't applying on elemental weapons either.

Very easily. They completely rewrote the server side damage formulas.
If KMS doesn't have elemental weapons they wouldn't have thought to add in the special cases for them and since GMS is just a copy paste as usual the end result is pretty damn predictable.
