Posted that video too, thanks. I guess I shouldn't have rounded before. I originally had Rapid Fire's speed as 480 shots/min because I rounded 8.33... to 8. It is in fact 500 shots/min.

This is the same godly level 7x Valkyrie I posted earlier. She is using the Octopus/Gaviota/Cooling Effect training method. She hits 6k per hit on Jr. Newties with Triple Fire. :f6:

I 8-hit Newties at level 94 with an 8 att pot lol o_o and I've got a pretty bad gun at the moment too..

Gunslingers do better damage than expected?

Gunslingers are really underrated, but I'm guessing a well-funded GMS Gunslinger would do about the same damage as her. JMS doesn't have Stormcaster Gloves nor Facestompers.

Anyone able to read japanese? She has her skill build posted in the description but I can't read it ;(

She says she has 20 Triple Fire, 15 Gaviota, 30 Octopus, and 30 Cooling Effect and that she gets about 6m EXP per hour (about 50%/hour at her level).

That guy training at STDs is in my guild over there...looks like he leveled to 3rd recently. ^^

Think about it. Not only does it get one less monster to attack you, but he also sits there and kills other monsters for you. How is that not insanely helpful?

This is one sexy ass Guide on Captain's, I'll definitely be using this when Pirates come out!

That's based on the assumption that the difference between level 1 and level 10 doesn't isn't worth the 4x increase in cooldown. If it is a huge difference, then I'll alter the guide to max it out early, most likely right after Cannon.


As for Mind Control, IMO the other skills are more useful. The damage it does is minimal so it's often faster to just kill the monster. If you want to use Mind Control on a monster, then move on to another platform while that monster attacks, Octopus practically does the same thing.

Does anyone know what kind of atk pots she is using? Her Cannon hits 20k on Pap's 2nd form. o_o

This video is great at showing how durable Battleship is, and how Advanced Homing works.

20ks aren't very uncommon especially if advanced homing is multiplicative like i think it is. O_o It's 18xx% per cannon maxed if it's multiplicative. :O HE isn't using the takoyakis, which are 20 att there. I don't think they have anything higher than takoyakis. O_o

Mind control can mob at skeles. (90% sure on that) Octo doesn't. If you're soloing skeles, shooting off a level 1 mind control on the top platform while you go kill on the bottom and middle with cooling, cannon, and air strike for a bit might increase %/h. Even at level 1, it's still a good skill.

Interesting fact i just found out: Battleships durability is shown on the skill icon. As you take damage, the shadow goes up.

Going by that, after watching the video a few times, it seems that the ~17-18k he took in the beginning wasn't even a THIRD of that gauge. Level 1 battleship durability looks like 50k or so. Good to know...now what is it at max level?

Yeah, I've noticed that Battleship's icon is essentially its "hp bar". 50k damage is quite a large amount of HP in regular training, considering that Captains aren't going to be hit very often. Unless level 10 Battleship has 200k hp, it isn't worth the 4x increase in cooldown.

I guess level 1 Mind Control early on wouldn't hurt...but I'm still not convinced that the damage it does is enough to increase %/h, especially since Battleship Cannon overkills by quite a bit.

That video was sick. I can't wait for gunslingers.

Is it just me or did mind control have a puppet like effect?

It might have just been the guy standing in front of the newtie, but i can never be too sure =P
