ANOTHER meso exploit?

-Hime-:
Hello Maplers,

As you may know the game servers are currently unavailable. We are working on resolving an issue you may be aware of. At the moment we don't have details but we will inform you with progress as it becomes available. Thank you!

Just in case anyone wants an update...

I think that by "something you may be aware of", she is not refering to the server crash, but rather to the Exploit still being funtional. That would explain why she doesn't tell the reasons behind it, They don't want to accept and prove their own incompetence.

unless their rankings haven't updated, i've been rollback'd a few %. just checked now.
i really hope my stuff is still there. checking other "forums," this hack has already done it's damage. people from days before were quietly buying out anything of value as they expected this exploit would leak to the public soon.

Doesn't seem like a server outage.

-Hime- Wrote:Due to security reasons we never tell players exactly what we do, but you're smart along with many of the forumers so once the game is back up, you'll probably be able to figure it out.

This and the fact that there was still an exploit going on, leads to obvious conclusions. D:

Dunno why you guys bash -Hime- her post history within the last hour or so is lulz worthy.

Back on topic: At least they just turn off the server faster this time, now they just need to sip on some mountain dew and find a solution.

I dont wanna make stuff up but, i heard from some friends that the meso exploit was working after the server check
Do you guys think nexon fixed the exploit but when they did the rollback the fix disappeared? :o

Seems they just found another way to do it.
Without getting into too many details because Eos is frowning upon it. Old way = storage. New way = shops.
Same basic principles just a different place to do it at.

So in tpyical Nexon fashion they patched up what they knew was a problem (donor dude, storage) and didn't apply it to other areas of the game (leafre donation, shops) and it bit them in the ass the same exact way it always does.

That'd be quite funny. XD

So it's confirmed that the OLD exploit was still working? hahahaohwow.jpg

There is something i needa ask. I keep hearing from friends that the ability to login the same account more than once was released as a new feature in the last patch nexon gave us. He even said it's on the patch notes. May someone confirm this for me please?

If this is true, i cannot see this exploit being fixed any time soon. They may patch it so the actual hack doesn't work anymore, but hackers only have to tweak it out a little bit to make it work again, and again, and again.

Wasn't a feature. There are no v91 patch notes.

From what I've gathered, the former meso exploit didn't have a 100% chance of working. It worked randomly and if it didn't, the hacker would have relog out and sign back in and try again. My bet is that Nexon -thought- they patched it, tried out the exploit method, thought it was fixed, and left it at that when in reality, nothing was changed at all to prevent the exploit from occurring again. Note that these words aren't absolute and should be only taken with a grain of salt.

Fix for this is so simple, just disable the double-log-in "feature"

Doing that wouldn't fix the errors they were getting with it on, which they seem to have given up on fixing. If they can fix the exploits, they can still keep the feature.

Has it even been confirmed as a feature?

But they probably dunno what they did to make double login possible.

Why would they want to keep the feature anyway? It's a freaking bug. It, by itself, should be fixed, and if something else is going to be achieved down the road (one way or another), why not do it?

No but why does that matter if you just referred to it as a feature. Simply working on your assumptions here, not mine.

After so many SCs you really think double log in is a glitch?

Of course. After so many SCs, don't you start to think that Monster Book just got an added feature where you can attain cards you never could before via controlled shuffling?

Nexon's view: Doesn't hurt anyone except collectors who are non-existant anyway. Who cares?

You're comparing the priority of a meso exploit and the "you're already logged in" glitch which has plagued the game for years with the shufflu?

By this logic, you could also name APQ's disconnecting issue a new feature.
It as been out longer than the "Alread logged in" problem and hasn't been fixed after many SC.

Wow, I don't even...
If A satisfies conditions X, Y and Z, A is defined as [A], else, A is not [A].

Your logic, or lack thereof, specifically stated that "given enough time going under Nexon's radar, an abnormal phenomenon has the possibility of being intended", no? If you want to put priority of severity into the picture, rephrase yourself. Do I need to list every single thing that qualifies as arguments to your theory to point out its flaws?
