Indeed. It's not database-related either. It's in the actual source coding, so in order to edit that, you would have to actually get ahold of Nexon's files, know what the hell you're doing, and change everything to fit your happiness by changing the chance of getting each specific item. Doing that without getting caught by an employee and still having the time to find each and every single item and bend the rate that they come out of gachapon would be a near impossible feat...

It indeed makes more sense. Silly me.
Some people from MSEA actually rely on the game for their income.

If by some magical leopluridon, if they found a way to create Cash Shop Credit, then that's also another possiblity... you have to type in a card to redeem it right? What if there was some vulernabilty within that?

indeed, someone in the middle thread that was linked started off with that. Saying meso sellers are selling 10k for 8sgd, so 2sgd less then it should cost. And if they had edited the rates to get what they wanted immediately, wouldnt those SS's be of someone with 35 chaos's or 35 icebyrd wands in a row? I think the person is just spamming the gachapon with tickets they got by somehow getting infinite A-cash or w/e. And thats if this actually exists and isnt just 1-2 people buying 3-4 thousand dollars worth of gachapon(and probably STILL not getting the 1 item they want lol).

An exploit being abused that deals with the Cash Shop is alot more serious to them, considering it is a direct, and dire threat to the company's profit and the actual income from the game. Of course, if this is some exploit, someone is gonna get royally screwed, both sides...
Any one of the regional providers will press charges.

Weird, i play in aquila. ( which is to MSEA as Scania is to GMS)
so far none of this has happened i have not seen a chaos scroll being announced in aquila. neither have i seen suspicious activity at the gacha notice.
Still best be on my guard.

Are their english that bad compared to those latinos, europeans etc etc. As long they understand each other during communications, i dont see that is a big issue.

It's not that bad. I've been at their forum for about a year now, and I'm pretty much used to it now. I have been staying in their monthly Predict Highlight threads, for the most part. The few times that I venture out of that series of threads, I see that most of them are quite aware of their questionable English. They go all over the spectrum, and I've seen about one or two debates about 'proper English' usage on the forums in the past (whether to speak English 'like the westerners', or use 'Singlish').
There are quite a few intelligent people over there, most of whom are already posting here at SouthPerry too.

I don't really think this is a sign of MSEA's database being compromised again. There was someone over at the MSEA forum a while back, who said that he was a friend or relative of a technician who once did something for AsiaSoft. What he did, I don't recall, but he said that he noticed that the security of the data that travels between the users and AsiaSoft is quite weak, not the actual database security itself. If it truly was their database being compromised again, there would be a lot more hackings (somewhere around the levels of what happened in 2008), rather than what's happening now (unless if the hackers learned something from last time and aren't hacking as many people in such a short amount of time, so that AsiaSoft might not see this as something major enough to do something about it ASAP).

Rock me, Amadeus.
Sweet God, that thing is insane. It's way too late to do a rollback by the time they figure a solution to the problems caused by stuff like this. They're going to have to use a similar approach they did for the Newcomer's Reward Event last February, I would bet. Or for an even more extreme solution, possibly having to shut down the server for a bit.
