Final Attack is a buff skill for Cygnus, not passive. That's been known for ages. Most people in this thread know that, at least. I'm surprised how many people haven't heard of their special FA working with their Brandish, though. That was confirmed long ago in one of the Cygnus threads here on SP. I'm quite sure with either SS or video confirmation.
I haven't heard anything since then about it being changed. So, unless it has, they are correct.

JoeTang Wrote:We have enough information about Windbreakers and Soul Masters, because of the timed delay on Wind Shot/Magnum Shot and Brandish's speed from Heroes. However, we lack Final Attack Speeds, which could always be assumed to be the same as Slash Blast/Power Strike. It's considerably fast, and it definitely contributes to their damage output, as opposed to hindering it like Slash Blast's does. Advanced Combo, not sure what data we have on that so far.
I doubt Final Attack makes a significant difference, but we could tack that on. Someone do some testing to figure out how much damage maxed Advanced Combo adds and I can put together a spreadsheet comparing each class. My instinct still tells me Soul Masters win solo, but fall into the middle of the pack with buffs.
Oh, and the thing is, I know Windwalk can be used in between each attack and I know that it's the most efficient way of dealing damage but I don't know if it adds any delay at all. Should I assume Dark Sight speed?

Would it be possible for you to make a mob of 3 and mob of 6 DPS sheet? I'm curious how much exactly PA DrKs take a loss to Ult'ing mages, and how much a Combo'ing mage could do (perhaps ending the argument that non-ulting is too slow to train with).

Uh, kind of off-topic, I guess, but Fury does somewhere in the area of 20-25% more DPS than an Meteo/Blizzard on neutral monsters depending on equips and about 50% more than Genesis on neutral monsters. There's no way a simple calculation can determine how much slower training with ultimates is, since it highly depends on damage and map and one major factor in why ultimate training is so much faster than other methods is because the maps in Leafre are pretty bad in terms of layout for a mobbing class and that the monsters only have 80/85k HP, which means they die way too fast to train with any sustained mobbing methods like 3rd jobbers use at Himes and Typhons.

Soul Warrior's Brandish does work with FA. However, since SW's FA is a buff and not passive, it's pretty irrelevant.

So Time Temple's high HP mobs may be more beneficial - kinda suspected that, but good to have backup on that. So for a monster like Zakum, a PA DrK could theoretically kill the bottom 4 arms (can hit all at once standing under the left 2) faster than an ult'ing AM/Bish could kill all of them, although the AM/Bish would still win out. Kinda sad that the DPS doesn't really matter though, as there are no maps well-suited for high mobbing potential (disregarding CGs, as their constant sealing + weird unpassable barriers limit mobbing effectiveness). I really would like to see some good Hime-style maps in the future...
And ty Fiel. Still not something I would personally be doing in a boss fight, mostly because of the random aspect of it - rather be able to stop attacking when necessary to buff, move, etc, especially when you are getting KB'd frequently.

I don't think nexon america nor nexon korea is very fond of those types of maps. NA favors ones with good layout to suit many classes, not a certain group of them. I don't really know what NKs favorite is, lol. I'd guess they don't favor anything though all of their creations serve as an example for ideas for other versions.

I always found Hime-style maps boring. I love maps like CG's and Lower Ascent, which require some movement but it caters to every single class.
Himes-style maps, you can't afk in, and not being able to do that just sucks.

I personally love the CG style maps too - room to party in but small enough to mob quickly is always nice. My only beef with the CG map involves the random spots that CGs can't move over. And yes, not being able to take a break at Himes sucks (as does not being able to easily drop items). The reason I want more Hime style maps, however, is that they aren't very efficient for ult'ing mages but still hold a lot of training value for almost any other class. In other words, it gives everyone a decent map to train on while ult'ing mages can still kill skeles for good exp. Anyways, this is a bit off topic. Happy to discuss more in a seperate thread/PMs.

I never looked that into Final Attack. I thought it was passive like normal Warriors.

However I dont think it will increase Brandish damage... If you use a Red Katana + Maple Shield, Brandish is at about 90att/min... Final Attack will never get beyond that speed, unless they make Brandish hit 3x per attack when FA activates on Brandish...
Ah well... I'm making a Striker anywayz....

I don't even know what I want to make yet. I'm not even sure if I'll make one actually.
But if I had to pick 1, it would either be a Soul Master or Striker.
