What's your point? Unless you think that his PIC is 35 characters, it's not, he means that because he keeps getting it wrong he has to keep entering it repeatedly.

Maybe he kept entering his old PIC by accident, this happened to me for like the first week I changed my PIC.

Yeah, I decided that if Nexon thinks PIC security is an issue I should choose one that's actually cryptographically ok so my pic is now 14 characters long (seems to be a max at 16 or 17 - can't tell if it actually stops or the password display just gets dysfunctional) which is the equivalent of my 10 character alpha+numeric+symbols password.

Most times I just enter the old PIC though by habit.

Having a strong PIC is pointless most of the time simply because if you're going to get hacked, you're going to get hacked (as stupid as that sounds). I dare say more people got hacked in those database leaks a while back than the total number of actual successful bruteforce attempts over the entire game's history. No strong PIC would have saved your rear at the time.

At least it slows down brute-forcing. The end doesn't quite justify the means, ya'know.

Unless Nexon has an actual security hole in the login system, even a password table leaking still requires brute forcing the password hashes. If they're salted, then my PIC is effectively not brute forceable on current computer hardware. Even if they aren't, I'm not gonna be in the first 100,000 accounts compromised...

Are you able to log in to MetalAlx? Or are you are specifically getting Error Code 38 when you try to log into Monster Life (and the client crashes) through MetalAlx?

Would be nice to know if the town lag issue (glitched gaga/admin/cassandra NPCs) will be fixed with this patch as well. That way I can stop being parked in Aquarium all day.

If they fixed Kanna's bugs this would most definitely be the best patch ever in my eyes.
