Lulz, Mini Figurines!

Had some fun with Sculpey today... I'm not too familiar with the media, and if I could go back there are some things I would have changed on these (ex: now that I know, I would have done the hair differently ... but whatever first tries are always atrocious)


My magey, Venison, ahaha, in an "anakarune". I put that in quotes because while I got the midsection right, I totally effed up the sleeves (was originally going for a requierre, fail!).


She has panties! Oh, uh, that black streak on her leg has been fixed & the gold part down the middle of her outfit is a bit more neat now.


My favorite one. I made one like this a looong time ago (3+ years) but I gave it away. I'm thinking I'll do a slime next, then maybe an octopus..

cute stuff here. what is sculpey? i assume it's whatever material you were using, is it clay or something?

Was it super sculpey? That stuff was fun to play with... except that the figure I made didn't have strong enough legs so they ended up cracking. =(

Hehe thanks, Throws. I got a new laptop (eeePC) so I haven't really been doodling on the computer much, and the stuff I do on paper isn't scanned >.> Also I'm not sure if it was Super Sculpey, it was just the first thing I grabbed off the shelf at Hobby Lobby haha. It probably is, or Sculpey III? It was pretty nice to work with.

@Ji: Sculpey is a polymer clay, pretty fantabulous stuff. There's lots of brands of it and it comes in lots of colors (something else I think I am going to use to my advantage next time instead of painting all of it XD) and it's a lot less messy than traditional clay IMO. (No dirty hands!) Bakes in the oven to cure. Very easy to use and easy to produce cute results without any skill whatsoever (mwahaha).
