What is all this new-world kerfuffle?
#1
Over the last few months people on almost all GMS forums have been making topics such as "I can't wait for Yellonde", "I'm making my new char on Yellonde" and "wtp still no Yellonde?!". Now I'd like to know what the point in those topics are.

Whenever I play on Bellocan, Mardia or Windia, for example, each channel is practically empty, so it can't be that you want to play on an empty server.

Character transfer allows you to move your character from one server to another, so it can't be for world ranks.

Could someone please explain what the fuss is all about? It really seems as though some of you are desperate for Yellonde or any other new world, yet I really don't see why that is.

To be honest, people want a new server to have a chance to be in the close-knit community of high levels and to be the "first". I could post several different reasons why people would want to go to a new server, but in the end it all boils down to those 2 reasons. They all want to be the first at something. The first to get to a certain class, first to level 100, be in the first pap, first zakum, first w/e, and it all really revolves around knowing the new high leveled people. This is why people waiting for a new server don't want to just start in a world that's just "empty".

It's still absurd regardless.

I almost want to say that they should smash 2 pair of worlds into 2 single worlds. In other words, take Mardia and Kradia, and put all players into a single world; take all players from Bellocan and Khaini into a single world.

Also: allow free or reduced cost if a person chooses to move to a world which is less populated than the one they're currently in.

Scania would empty out so fast....

I think people want a new world to level up fast and be the ones that chain up and control Zakum, Horntail, etc.

I never understood the hype either but it seems that the time that its been hyped for has gotten it quite an audience (to begin with anyways). I say give it a few weeks and see if the hype is still around, then judge.

Im interested to see: Who'll kill Horntail first, Yellonde or Kradia ;D

well with this patch kradia will get the ability to have migrants.... so you'll see plenty of high lvls going to kradia just for that fact (prob transferring back to their original server just cause) but with the massive x4 who knows

They are all hoping to escape the drama and nonsense by flocking to this new world, but instead they will bring it with them, and there are people who intentionally go to new worlds to start drama on purpose for their own amusement, so it's not going to accomplish anything.

Kerfuffle.. hehe...

Anyone remember when Bellocan was released at the peak of hacker activity, and everyone thought that the new server was a trap to ban hackers?

I'd rather see Nexon investing capital in more employees and development rather than additional hardware.

In the early stages of a server's existence it is most easy to manipulate. That's it, pretty much.

I know someone who made ~50k while still on Maple Island, when Khaini was minutes old.... by selling mushroom caps for 1k each.
That's what I call merchanting, lol.

Yeah, and the first overall DEX 10%'s that KPQ spit out would sell for ridiculously low prices (10k anyone?) because no one could get enough of them anyway to make anything good with them.

I dunno... Personally I don't care, but perhaps some people seek to run a server? =]

I remember that. Remember xxSpearDKxx? Number 1 for a long time, he would bot with dEMI hack for days on end. It was hilarious. Speaking of hilarious, kerfuffle. lol

They all wanna be first at something, like other people have said. And they wanna be part of the elite high level groups, who take over peoples maps and control HT and Zakum. Reminds me of Excellent, in Scania.
