Finisher formula~

Okay, so lately I've been working with all the different possibilities for SB/PS + FA + AC + finisher. the time it's taking, and it's probability to get that outcome.

The results can be found here if you really want to look. I wouldn't recommend it however, as it is exact probabilities and such.

So, I wanted to find the average damage in percent for maxed combo, advanced combo, and maxed panic with faster(2) speed.

What did I end up with? An average of these percentages:
904%, 969%, 1083%, 1112%, 1109%, 1090%, 1076%, 1066%, 1055%, 1046%

That means literally that trying to get 4 orbs will yield the highest damage output. So here's the thing: The orb multiplier for finisher has to be wrong (Rolleyes) Anyone have any idea on what the right formula might be? I want it, you see Heart

- If it's better to keep 9 orbs and panic the last orb
- If it's better to max brandish before AC (More output results will be done here with SB/coma etc..)

I can do some checks but I'm pretty sure that's probably right >_< (that aiming for 4 orbs is best)

I'll edit in when I can confirm anything.


ps. 99999 cap becomes an issue with Panic anyway.


edit: Panic, Coma % with x orbs, max combo, max a combo, max panic
1: 525% 300%
2: 630% 360%
3: 805% 460%
4: 1050% 600%
5: 1330% 760%
6: 1400% 800%
7: 1470% 840%
8: 1540% 880%
9: 1592.5% 910%
10: 1645% 940%

Divided by panic percent:
1: 150%
2: 180%
3: 230%
4: 300%
5: 380%
6: 400%
7: 420%
8: 440%
9: 455%
10: 470%

I can't reconcile these with your orb multipliers so I'm assuming they're wrong.


Base range 6079 will let 10 orb Panic do 99999s.

edit: added Coma percents which are matching fine

the typical reason i give for maxing brandish before ac is a comparison - brandish:mastery and ac:fa or rage

i dont have the time to really look at what youre doing right now Sad

do we have here an average % dealt/sec? or is this per hit?
w/ lvl1 AC (145% @ 6 orbs) and max brandish you can dish out 754%/attack by spamming brandish, no finishers. consider also that normal(6) swords can do (85?) br/min which brings it up to 1068%/sec. (and 80att/min is 1005%/sec in case my memory fails)

i have already pondered the benefits of having 6 more points in AC than brandish and concluded that its slightly better to have say... 21 br + 25 ac than 27 br + 19 ac. but only if you dont hit an extra monster from those 6 points, and of course leveling only grants 3 sp / lvl so in terms of each level its always better to have more brandish. however, this runs under the unfortunate assumption of not using finishers any more.

and sadly mondays has the correct orb finisher multipliers. nexon forgot to make them bigger after 5 orbs :/
