Free level 30 Resistance char question

I got the free lvl30 resistance char cashshop coupon and created a new slot and a mechanic. But when I tried to play the char I found there is no weapon. I tried to find some weapons from the general vendors but couldn't find any. So what weapon does a mechanic use?
Also, there is suppose to be a free pet, where is he?

I dont know if their is a quest on the side that gives out a level 30 equip box that includes armor and a gun

just logged in now and I got the present box with the lvl 30 basic equips including a gun! weird it didnt give me that when I first logged in, guess you have to log out and in once.
now i have to find a 'mech' I guess, only one I can find is a lvl50 one from the vendor...

You activate the mech itself via a skill xP not an equip.
Those Mech parts are simply for extra stats, you function perfectly without them, and the first set (Copper) starts at lvl 50 anyways.

Of note, you will actually get the Copper Engine given to you in a new quest at level 50. It pops up as a bulb, but you must go to Resistance HQ to pick it up.
