This article states that Nintendo wants Camelot to make another game in the series.

I'll let you lot decide what you think about it.

I would almost consider giving up my firstborn child for this to happen.

If they were as great as the first 2 i would have no complaints with a 3rd. Even if the DS is full of RPG’s.

Considering the article is about a year old, I don't have any hopes at this point. It'd be a nice surprise however.

Name one game that took 4 years. They admitted it themselves that they hadn't gotten around to do it and they don't know why, in other words, they admitted they were lazy. Rolleyes

Halo was in development for more than 4 years (because it started out as Mac 3rd Person strategy game).

Not a fan of turn-based RPGs. Really not a fan of almost-turn-based-but-not-quite-because-we-included-some-complicated-time-based-mechanic-yeah-that's-right-I'm-talking-about-FF RPGs. Golden Sun 1+2 were cool but required a frame skip to play.

Team Fortress 2.

Either way, as much as I'd like to see this happen, we'll just have to wait and see. Sad

Mother 3 technically. Announced for the N64 in 1996, canceled in 2000, revived in 2003, released in 2006.

What's wrong with turn-based? Sad
It's a hell of a lot better than that damnable ATB system they use in FF. The only FF game I really liked was 10, and the only reason for that is because it's the only one with turn-based rather than "You better be a god at navigating menus" battle system.

Isaac, all of the other games that use the ATB system also have an option to put the selection on wait, so it isn't simply having to be fast at choosing your attacks.
