7.2 earthquake hits Eastern Turkey, causes massive damage

There are currently 75-85 deaths with hundreds of injuries and an estimate of 1,000+ dead. The earthquake hit near the towns of Van and Erciş, destroying many buildings.

The quake was felt in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and as far away as Israel. Many nations have already began offering aid and assistance, with the first aid being received from Azerbaijan.
