Seoul-headquartered MapleStory publisher Nexon is reportedly in talks to buy a majority stake of South Korean MMORPG developer JCE, best known for creating the Freestyle sports games. More like diversifying to reduce its risk and reinvesting its capital into new income streams. Both of these are good for the shareholders. Though, if they really wanted to diversify, they'd buy an underwear company and a dessert factory.

Well excuse me for discussing Maplestory on a maplestory forum. Also considering I PLAY maplestory, I guess it is wishful thinking that Nexon might take steps to make their shitty game a little better, like getting better/more developers or expanding their employee base.

Do you even know what a monopoly is? There are still other sports game makers out there. You can't say they're trying to "have a monopoly" until you see them buying up things they already make.

I never said that everything Nexon does affects Maplestory directly, what I said was that I was not sure how to react to this article and that my original reaction was wondering if this specific action affected maplestory.

As long as it doesn't affect Maple, i don't care if Nexon started burning down orphanages for fuel.
