Gotten over the Legend Jobs? :O

Has the jobs Cannon Shooter, Mercedes and Demon Slayer lost their appeal to players already?

Or are people still interested in it? :f6:

well the majority of users on sp are in gms so we havent been able to play them yet. They still have their appeal

If MC's and DS's have lost their appeal, Maplestory has lost it's appeal, there are just no other reasons left to start new other classes then those except for Bishops...

What might happen is that people already have a lvl160+ main char and don't want to lvlup their char AGAIN to lvl160+...

But I think it's more Maplestory that lost it's appeal because of the potential system crap because of the lack of the need of any other skill then spending money then playing the classes itself.

Dude we get it you hate the potential system get over it already. To be on topic we havent had the chance to play them yet but just like every other new class they will lose appeal quickly.

OT; By the time we get these classes in GMS. My main will be 200, my Sair should be 150-180. So it's quite possible I may make one of these new characters a tertiary main(I'm guessing it could be the Demon Slayer)

True I plan on making a demon slayer simply because its a warrior. I guess I'll get an nx sword cover as I hate the look of axes and bw. what pisses me off is that I wont be able to transfer my perma flame katana nx cover over to it.

I remember before Pirates were released, the level of excitement and hype... Everybody was looking forward to these two amazing new classes. Everybody discussed and dissected every shred of information we could scrounge about them. Everybody made a pirate the day of release (well, I didn't, but a lot of people did).

But with every new class release, the level of excitement goes down.

Now it's like, "Ho hum, another new overpowered class. Wake me up when this hits GMS, I might make one if they give us a free char slot to do it in, and I've nothing more interesting to do. Or if they give some nice equips/buffs for my main."

Demon Slayers and Mercedes are quite popular. Especially Demon Slayer because of the Demon Force system.

Mechanics kept being popular until Dual Baldes were buffed in Chaos, so wait for Dual Blades to be buffed again.

I'll make them cause I have equips i can reuse. Other than that, free buffs and storage mules FTW?

See, with every new class that shows up, there's going to be the hype of "new-ness" ESPECIALLY since all the new classes make the original 4(and pirates I suppose) look like complete pomegranate. Why would ANYONE make one of the original classes, that have the perks of sharing a CS storage and that's about it, that have lol animations and lol damage, when they could make a SUPER UBER FLASHY NEW classs! Who gives a pomegranate if they can't share cash items, I CAN SHOOT FUCKING UNICORNS and mob 20 times more effectively than any other class before me (except Dual Blades, but herp derp they don't count as the original adventurers either).

If hey made cannon shooter a mid range + melee class, I feel like that would have been more interesting. But they kinda killed off the cannon shooter hype by introducing it in the same patch as the Mercedes and Demon slayer. who wants a nub cannon shooter when you can has a character who automatically has devil's wings? Or an archer that has everything all the original archers wanted and then some? They're all cool classes to most people because they have new skills that eclipse any of the original set and they can do it while making their damage not suck. I mean look at Mercedes' hurricane. Why have a tiny hurricane that can only shoot tiny arrows? DPS you say? why have DPS when you can shoot 2 hurricanes at the same time and add more damage because of final attack? Why make a BW or Axe warrior character when you have a demon slayer who specializes in them and doesn't ever need to use potions? Did I mention that each one of these characters essentially get the equivalent original character's 4th job skills at level 10? Yeah Demon slayers can get 90% stance at level 10 while warriors have to spend 10 levels of SP for that. The same can be said of Mechs. They also get free personality traits at level 10. Oh you want a pocket slot? Equip 2391792 Cash shop items while Ms. Mercedes over here gets that at level 10. Oh you wanted flashjump because NLs were so cool at getting it? Now you get that at level 10 too! See what I'm getting at?

(just for reference, I was uber hyped for pirates and I actually played the character past level 120 and every other "new" class that came out since, played just because i got free crap from them as shown by my level 70 Aran, my level 70 DB, my level 70 cygnus, and my level 120 mech (I just wanted 4th job on this one to farm pap crack)).

Cannon shooter -> Nothing unique.

Mercedes -> (NLs + WHs)². I hate archers and thiefs, anyways.

Demon Slayer -> Shitload of HP, infinite MP and the most overpowred beginners skills since Citzen's Potion Mastery. A Demon Slayer can do everything my BattleMage and Mechanic can and could do: they have their own version of Rocket Booster, Teleport, Drill Rush, Perfect Guard, Dark Chain... and they upgrade Demon Slash with just ONE SP. Problems, 3/4/5/6Blow BattleMages?

Can't resist Demon Slayers appeal, even if they get their damage nerfed, they're still as fun to play as my other characters. I'm just hope that Nexon didn't forget about the rest of the resistance

I'm excited for Cannon Shooters. I can't wait to read the story of DS and Mercedes. If I like them I'll play them. My Evans great and amazing but I need a break every here and there. If I like the class I'll take it far. The new Pq's and monster park have proven to me to be excellent exp.
