PoT drop rate

So, i heard rumors that the PoT drop rate went up with the '10x rate' that arrived in GMS with potential, can anybody confirm that?


Edit: The reason i ask is because EMS got ToT and we got the post balance patch elemental weak mobs and PoTs are dropping all the time, and i remembered the rate being rather low in GMS, so i assumed that we got some copy-pasta, but some people think it's the normal PoT drop rate, people are getting like 20~30 in 4 hours 4x drop.

Me and my friend were arguing today, he insisted that PoT drop chance doesn't increase as you go deeper into ToT. I believe it does, in fact, increase.
Which is right?

PoT drop rate certainly didn't go up 10x. The 10x only applies to equipment, anyway. I can't swear it hasn't gone up at all, though, I don't keep that close track.

I don't have any hard evidence, but while doing the ToT quests, I got 4 PoT's in the memory lanes and none in the qualm lanes. That would seem to suggest otherwise, but I could have just gotten lucky and then unlucky.

from my own experience while raising my db and training basically 80-90% of the time in tt durning 85-13x lvls (except for alien event) i'll say its true.
i found only 1 pot training in memory maps like 4-5 in blue part and over 10 (doin obl 3/4 part) at oblivion parts.
but thats just me.

The drop rate definitely increases as you go further in. I can't offer anything but anecdotal evidence as well, but a friend of mine hunted them for several hours on 2x drop at Memory Lane 4 when they first came out and hardly found any, while at O4 I can typically grab 1 every hour to hour and a half on 1x drop.

5-7 per hour on 4x drop is similar to GMS, for charas that can kill efficiently anyway. I was getting around that when I trained much in OB4.

I haven't trained as much post-potential/10x equip, but if it was 10x I'd be expecting 20 per hour on 1x droprate.

Well i didnt really mean 10x rate, but just meant if there was any increase at all.
