Exactly. Speaking of subnets, I need to remember how to do VLSM again. Fuck. Don't you hate it when you forget shit that you worked on like a year ago or so? I hate that feeling. Makes me feel like crap. :|

0.0.0.0 & 255.255.255.255 was always fun. I hated the subnetting days, but oh, how I wish I could do those routing labs all over again. It was more fun than to program languages, but that's just me.

Also, subnetting with IPv4 is pretty fun because you're only dealing with xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (32-bits). Once IPv6 comes out, it's 128-bits. My. God. Do not want to subnet. F*cking hex sucks. :/

I only had to deal with extremely mundane cases where it didn't match up and just did the little swap in network settings. Go 32-bit.

Yeah, 32-bit isn't extremely difficult to work with. I think my first time learning how to subnet and figure out the different ranges for all 3 classes (A, B, and C), it took me about almost a year since I'm a slacker. But once you get the subnetting portion down, it's pretty fun. I wouldn't want to deal with hex though. I've done binaries2hex before, and it's a fucking pain in the ass. :/

All IPv4 addresses can be easily converted to binaries these days, thanks to something known as the Internet. THANK GOD. But I don't recommend people to do this if they're majoring in IT. :| I have to say though, 2 years learning about how computer networks works, as well as the functions of every equipment being used to hold a network stable was pretty fun. I never had so much fun designing a plan for a WAN.
