The old experience formula distributed exp by two factors: How much damage you did and what level you were. So does the new one.
Old one multiplied the ratio of damage and level by .4 and .6 (not sure which is wjich). New one multiplies them by .2 and .8, making damage done a larger factor in the exp splitting. inb4Russt & his corrections

Oops. :| I know you leech exactly half of the experience now that you would have on the old formula, rest is semantics. D: (Except for rare cases when rounding pineapples your pomegranate up) So now it's... 0.4*your level / sum of levels on the map + .6 * damage you did / mob's HP = Exp you get (before Party bonus), while it use to be .8 and .2 respectively...?
